ART FOR THE RESISTANCE: “Pollinators”

One day February 2026, I went to the sites of Renee Good and Alex Pretti’s deaths. I picked up some dried milk weed from the snow and brought it back to my studio. I was inspired by the pollinator 

gardeners who plant one small thing to help the butterflies, bees and the world. I called these milkweed pieces “The Pollinators” series. 

During Metro Surge we were all distributing whistles, making signs, collecting donations, delivering donations, collecting supplies for children too afraid to go to school. Calling legislators, donating money and spreading the word. Each person doing one small thing.
