One Small Thing

For the pollinators series - Minneapolis, Feb 2026,

One small thing. Collecting donations, delivering donations, making whistles, making signs, collecting supplies for children too afraid to go to school. Calling legislators, donating money and spreading the word. One small thing.

Last week, I went to the sites of Renee Good and Alex Pretti’s deaths. I picked up some dried milk weed from the snow and brought it back to my studio. It’s been hard to focus on work in my studio. What to paint? Where to start?

I was inspired by the pollinator gardeners who plant one small thing to help the butterflies, bees and the world.

Lots of folks doing one small thing.
